Creatives Osean, Tati Bruening and Isabella Lalonde appear in a film directed by Maya Margolina for Lenovo’s Make Space platform, imagined with Intel

The work of 3D animator Osean, photographer Tati Bruening and designer Isabella Lalonde is vastly different. Each artist is a trailblazer in their respective field, with hyper-focused styles that are entirely their own.

As the creator of the Oseanworld series, Osean creates immersive, anime-inspired digital universes filled with original music and compelling characters. “Manic expression” is the phrase the 28-year-old uses to describe his artistic style, which has earned him the attention of collaborators like Playboi Carti, Doechii and Offset.

Tati Bruening, on the other hand, produces absurdist art that has a distinct eeriness. It’s a feeling that’s familiar to those who grew up on the internet, which Bruening calls her ‘slop kingdom.’

Then there’s Lalonde, the mastermind behind viral jewellery brand Beepy Bella. Whether it’s through accessories, apparel, or one of the other mediums she’s come to master, Lalonde infuses a healthy dose of whimsy into each of her designs; encountering her work feels like stepping into a fairytale that’s almost too good to be true.

Despite their differences, all three creatives have a knack for integrating technology into their art. Thus, it’s not surprising that each of them has partnered with Lenovo and Intel’s Make Space, a platform that helps creatives connect and explore emerging technologies. Recently, the platform released the Make Space Network, a match-making tool designed to inspire creative collaboration. To join, users simply answer a set of questions before being paired with a potential creative partner.

Whether it be for sketching, moodboarding, or organising, Osean, Bruening and Lalonde all use the Lenovo Yoga Aura Edition in their creative process. As a part of their recent collaboration, each artist used the AI-powered PC to imagine a world of their own making, which can be seen in a new video released this week.

In the video, the talented trio bands together to reflect on their artistic processes, reasons for creating and uses for AI. “I like using AI to build on that tension between real and surreal,” said Bruening. “I create to give other people a world to escape to,” added Lalonde. “Nothing is ever finished when you’re a creative mind.”

Produced in collaboration with the Dazed Studio team, the film was directed by Maya Margolina. Other collaborators included director of photography Htat Htut, production designer Luke Carr, stylist Joe Van O, makeup artist Yuui and hair stylist Dre Demry-Sanders. Fittingly, the creatives behind the camera are just as forward-thinking as the ones in front of it. The team assembled includes many of the most exciting names in digital media, representing those at the industry’s forefront. Each creative brought their own unique perspective to the set, embodying the collaborative ethos at the cornerstone of the Make Space Network.
